Postpartum Doula – Nicole Hunt
Nicole’s passion for postpartum care comes from her own intense entrance into motherhood. Nicole became an advocate for her own physical, mental, and emotional health after becoming a mother and loves to do the same for birthers and families by supporting them and connecting them to resources. Her goal is to make the 6 weeks after birth peaceful, magical, and smooth for families. She approaches postpartum work with respect, compassion, and gentleness.
Nicole has a bachelor of arts in Sociocultural Anthropology, and is a registered yoga teacher. She trained as an Ayurvedic Postpartum Caregiver with the Center for Sacred Window Studies, and as a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula through ProDoula. She is also trained in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. Nicole founded Here and Now Motherhood, a nonprofit whose mission is to support mothers in their transition into motherhood, a transition known as “matrescence.” Nicole lives in Johnson City, TN with her family.
